Trust is a hard thing to come by for this rewind episode as we journey to the infamous U.S. Outpost 31 in Antarctica where we settle down and talk about one of my favorite horror films of all time, John Carpenter's The Thing. It doesn't take long for paranoia to sink in as we struggle to survive and stay on point as we delve into some of the history for the film with the novella it is based on, the original 1951 version The Thing From Another World, give our impressions on the 1982 film itself and discuss what we think has made it prevail as a horror classic almost 30 years after its initial release. While recording we did encounter a few technical difficulties as well so we do apologize in advance for any audio issues that are present. Featured music is from "The Thing (1982)" motion picture soundtrack.

Hope the co-producers and directors will do new sequels soon.
They should take the time to do the special makeup effects and hire the new puppeteers if there's going to be a lot of sequels.
Carpenter's 1982 horror film 'The Thing' was 20 times twice as better than the preqeul from 2011 film, because the professional creature maker ROB BOTTIN did the best creature special effects and makeup fx.
LOVE to see lot more air-bladders special effects for the sequels of 'the thing,' and also love to see thousands of more alien monster transformations.
The Cast and Crew are great and the acting was great. Another reason I like about this movie is the big guy's transformation was horrifying, and than his head change into some kind of spider alien. Yes, Rob Bottin's special effects are better and really creepy. They really should hire thirty more puppeteers and makeup special effects artists to make billions more horror sci-fi films and of course do a lot of sequels of 'the thing.'
