Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang haven't been featured in a movie in over 35 years, yet (mostly in thanks to the yearly repeats of the Halloween and Christmas television specials, they still remain popular to this day. Isn't that kind of crazy? This year, which also happens to be the comic strip's 65th anniversary, will see the release of the fifth Peanuts feature film written and overseen by Charles Schulz's son and grandson so as to retain a faithfulness to Charlie Brown and the gang that Charles would be proud of. While this first trailer doesn't show much of anything actually in the film (it's more of teaser), it is worth a look simply for seeing the unique animation style being employed which looks like a cross between hand drawn and 3D animation techniques. Check out my reaction to the trailer now.
